Interruptions

Gone gone gone are the days of old
Welcome to the Era of the uneducated
With the technology and information at their hands
Yet they force people to fold
Cancel everything they dislike
When will Boomers and Gen X be like Rubber bands
Pull back, aim, be bold
Strike and take back the commands
This generation is still riding that trike
I feel as though our Xennial Generation is being berated

Things we found funny they find Offensive
We learned to laugh at ourselves and each other
Oh how I wish for the 80s to make a comeback
People were chilled and relaxed
No no no Cancel this Cancel her Cancel him and CANCEL THAT
Things were cheaper then, now it’s expensive
Everything is higher-taxed and getting axed
Just want to take these brats and give them a whack
Yet that’ll do no good, just roll my eyes and say Oh Brother

Society is beginning to look like the Demolition Man Movie
Soon to be ban Chocolate, Coffee and nicotine
Nothing in this Era is groovy
Oh wait, Nicotine is on the chopping block
Please oh Please turn back this clock
Put up the smoke screen and make a scene
Make a lousy speech about saving the children and drop the mic
Were congresses drink spiked?

I swear they live under a rock or are very caved
The facts used for the bill are outdated
This bill became quickly escalated
Vape is safer and has lives saved

Again, CANCEL CANCEL CANCEL
Don’t even bother to conceal
We’re living in Tyranny
With babies at the reigns
With a very religious Chancel
Please gives these kids education so they can use their brains
Stop making facts and truth out to be a conspiracy

Governments have too many corruptions
Stop sitting in silence and complicity
Stop seeking fame and publicity
Start with doing something and take the action needed
Experts have warned yet it’s never been heeded
Now we deal with constant interruptions

Falling Through The Cracks I speak my words with power and grace But the pen is mightier than my voice Yet those who need to hear them most ...
